Joey hopped behind the wheel of Darren Coffell's #46 Super Late Model during the second and third nights of the annual Duel in the Desert at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada this past weekend and showed great speed both nights, qualifying for both night's main events.

Friday night, he qualified fifth in his group, started third and finished fifth in his qualifying heat race before winning the night's b-main and earning the 17th starting spot in the night's feature event. In the feature, he rolled forward but suffered a mechanical issue, ending his night early.

Saturday he qualified 17th before racing from 9th up to 7th in his heat race. He then started 5th and finished 3rd in the b-main, putting him 22nd in the feature starting order. From his 22nd starting spot, he raced forward into the top twenty and then into the top fifteen, crossing the finish line in 13th place for his efforts.

Joey was in action at the Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, OR again on Saturday night for the final track points night of the season. After qualifying #1 overall, he raced from 7th to 4th in his heat race and then started 21st in the night's feature, worked his way through traffic to the lead and then unfortunately was caught up in a crash with a slower car, causing Joey to flip multiple times, ending his night. The bright side on the night was Joey claimed the 2022 track championship for his season-long efforts.

Joey was back at the Wilamette Speedway on Saturday night and was able to win his qualifying heat race from the pole after qualifying 7th and then was able to work his way from his 10th starting spot in the night's feature event to cross the finish line third.

Joey was back at the Willamette Speedway on Saturday night and picked up a big feature win for his efforts. After being the top qualifier on the night and winning his heat race from the seventh starting spot, he ran third in the dash and then started 21st in the night's feature event and sliced and diced his way through traffic to race to the lead and to the worst-to-first feature win for his efforts.

Joey was back at the Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, OR on Saturday night and after qualifying 2nd overall, he raced from 6th to 4th in his heat race, finished third in the pole dash and then was able to charge through the field in the feature from his 13th starting spot to cross the finish line with a solid second place finish for his efforts.

Joey made the trek to the Southern Oregon Speedway in Medford, OR for the track's 2-day Super Showdown and was able to race away with a pair of top five finishes for his efforts on the weekend. Friday night, he won his first qualifying heat race from the pole and won in his second heat race after starting 7th. He then raced inside the top five all feature long, crossing the finish line second.

Saturday, he won both heat races, one from the pole and the other from 6th, before winning the dash from the outside of the front row and then racing from 6th up to 3rd in the night's feature event.
